In 2015, we added a new feature to our risk watcher option: The seasonality

The seasonality, like Courtney explain in this video, (see this blog post for more information) if divided in two concepts.

  1. Buy specific stock for different period of the year,
  2. Adjust your risk base on the time of the year.

The Stock Butler now looks for you for the seasonal (bullish vs neutral) so you can have a better indication of the seasonal you are in.

The Stock Butler will show you this message in the Order ticket page. We currently don't have a "Seasonal Status" Page,

You can then double check the trend on this chart and also update your current order for your next trade.

Some Q&A

Should I update the position that I have "In trade"?

Since your position is already filled, you should follow the rules.

Should I update the position that I have "In order"?

You order can be updated if you find that the seasonality have changed between the moment that you have placed the order and now. Simple delete the order at your broker and redo the process in the Stock Butler.

How to make the message disappear?

You can update your default risk percentage in your "My Setting" page.

How do I apply the "concept #1" with The Stock Butler?

The concept #1 (risk adjustment) is already covert by The Stock Butler but you will need to update your risk by your self. This is a decision that you have to make as a trader.

How do I apply the "concept #2" with The Stock Butler?

To buy stock for a specific time of the year, simply add them to your watchlist and follow the rule of the technique analysis.

Where can I find up to date information on the Seasonal?

Courtney in his weekly Trade Smith video give an outlook of the seasonal. You can look at the video of the trade smith here.
