When one of the stock that you are following is unlisted or merge with another stock you have to do some manual management of that position.

We have a few options.

  1. If the new symbol if a new ticker that keep the same history (a rename of company), we can do it for you for all traders at the same time.
  2. If the new symbol is a merge of two companies or the new company was already existing before, we cannot change it for you. You will need to manually managed that change by creating new position. We are sorry for this!

So to keep a good data integrity, if you are in the second situation, you should recreate a new position with the same information.

For example, XRS was merged in 2016 and transfer to TAL. Since TAL is already an existing company symbol, the best plan of action will be to create a new position for with the new symbol and delete your old position in your portfolio.

Here are the step.

  1. Mark on a piece of paper for each position of the old symbol (ie: XRS) the entry date, entry price, protective stop and technique
  2. From the portfolio, you can click on the reference number in the "Ref" column to go to the stock dashboard of the old symbol
  3. From the dashboard, you can click on the new symbol (ie: TAL) that should be displayed in the Stock Highlight section

  8. Once you see your new position in your "In trade" tab of your portfolio, you can delete your position old position.

Now this position will be followed with the new symbol.
